Leading catering butcher Midland Foods has made a significant investment in new machinery worth £120,000.  This new investment comes just months after the business invested more than £1 million in new premises at Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove and recent investment in new vehicles.

Managing Director of Midland Foods, Russell Heptinstall, says, “Our continued investment programme signifies that we are thriving, growing business.  We supply award winning meat to a  broad spectrum of customers within the catering industry.   It’s a competitive world and we know there is no room for complacency so investment in higher capacity machines means we can offer even better service to our customers.  This, combined with our culture of hard work and determination, will ensure our continued growth.  It’s also good to know that, during these difficult times where banks are not so willing to provide loan facilities, Midland Foods have found a bank that is confident with the company’s future plans, allowing us to make this investment and grow further. ”

The new, technically advanced, pieces of equipment include a Kolbe AW 56 Mincing Machine, capable of producing up to 4 tonnes of mince in an hour, and a Foodlogistic MS140 Dicer, capable of working its way through 3.1 tonnes of meat in an hour.

Family run Midland Foods offers a diverse and comprehensive range of products, all with the guarantee of full UK traceability – from farm to fork.   The company has a BRC (British Retail Consortium) Grade A accreditation, giving customers complete confidence in both its products and service. Midland Foods supplies a range of hotels, fine dining restaurants, universities and venues such as football clubs, including Aston Villa, with whom it has a close relationship.

The company employs some 50 staff at its Stoke Prior HQ.  It runs a fleet of 12 delivery vehicles all equipped with temperature control chambers and tracking devices.
